Course Times 2026

Parking Information – Sunday 31st May 2026

Participants and spectators travelling to the Royal Sutton Fun Run are encouraged to plan their journey in advance, as a number of road closures will be in place across Sutton Coldfield town centre and along the Fun Run route on event day. Roads on and around the course will begin closing during the morning and remain closed until runners have safely passed.

Where possible, we recommend arriving early and allowing extra time for parking and walking to the start area.

Town Centre Car Parks

A number of Birmingham City Council pay-and-display car parks are available within Sutton Coldfield town centre, all within a short walk of the Royal Sutton Fun Run assembly areas, start and finish zones.

Please ensure you park only within marked parking bays and avoid straddling white lines.

Gracechurch Centre Car Park

Sat Nav – B72 1PA

The Gracechurch Centre multi-storey car park will also be open on event day, with access via Brassington Avenue.

Sunday parking is currently charged at a flat rate of £1 all day.

The car park is conveniently located close to the town centre assembly and finish areas.

Due to expected visitor numbers, participants are encouraged to arrive early.

Please note that exiting Gracechurch during the event, before approximately 3pm when diversions are lifted, will direct vehicles onto Brassington Avenue, which will temporarily operate as a two-way road with a 20mph speed limit for the duration of the event.

New Hall Walk Car Park

Sat Nav – B72 1RX

New Hall Walk Car Park is another nearby pay-and-display option within walking distance of the start area.

Please be aware that standard parking charges apply, access routes may be affected by temporary road closures linked to the Fun Run, and spaces are limited and expected to be busy throughout the morning.

On-Street Parking & Road Closures

Limited on-street parking may be available away from the route; however, extensive temporary road closures and traffic diversions will be in operation throughout the morning and early afternoon.

Visitors are asked to park considerately and legally, avoid blocking driveways or emergency access routes, and follow all temporary event signage and marshal instructions. Vehicles parked within restricted areas may not be able to leave until roads reopen after the event.
