KIDS’ VILLAGE RECEIVE £13,115 FROM McDONALD’S FRANCHISE FUN RUN TEAM

A team of over one hundred representing Wright Restaurants Ltd, a franchise of McDonald’s Restaurants, has raised £13,115 for its chosen charity Kids’ Village.

“It’s the first time we’ve entered a team from Wright Restaurants. The staff responded so positively to the challenge of not only completing the 8.5-mile course but raising money for Kids’ Village.
“Staff from across all our restaurants engaged in helping to raise money even if they weren’t participating on the day, so it was a huge team effort.”
Katrina Cooke, CE0 Kids’ Village said: “We’re at the start of our capital appeal to raise £5million to construct the UK’s first Kids’ Village, which will be located in rural Staffordshire between Lichfield and Tamworth.
“We’ll be able to offer free breaks to families who’ve navigated difficult and exhausting days in hospital, to experience some magic away from the world.
“On behalf of everyone involved with creating Kids’ Village, I’d like to express my thanks everyone at Wright’s Restaurants for their contribution in helping to raise £13,000.
“We’ve a long way to go to reach our target but everyone pound raised moves us closer to our objective of creating Kids’ Village, the UK’s first holiday village for sick children & their families. A place for imagination, enjoying nature together and feeling free from daily challenges battling a serious illness.

Online registration for the 42nd Royal Sutton Fun Run opens over the first weekend of February 2025 with the event due to be staged on Sunday, 1st June 2025. Places will be limited to 5500.
