GOOD HOPE HOSPITAL CHARITY TEAM RAISE £21,600

A team of over one hundred representing Good Hope Hospital Charity has raised £21,600 to be used solely at Sutton Coldfield’s main hospital Good Hope.

Mike Hammond, Charity Chief Executive said, “We work incredibly hard at the Charity to help all the patients, their families, and staff that come into our hospitals. I have seen firsthand the effect our work has on our patients and their families and am immensely proud to help make their time in hospital that bit easier.

“As a local charity we believe it is important to be out in the community, so getting involved with the Royal Sutton Fun Run has been a great way to do just that. I am delighted that so many people came out to support us and I hope we have many more fundraisers in the future stepping up to taking part and fundraising for their local hospital charity as part of our Fun Run team.”

Fun Run Event Director, Nicola Davies said: “We were thrilled to have Good Hope Hospital Charity join us as a Supporting Sponsor and allow us to help raise the profile and awareness of the new charity to participants and spectators around the course.

“It’s obvious from the results that the charity’s fundraising team, based within the Treatment Centre at Good Hope Hospital, worked hard to encourage staff and supporters to register for the Fun Run and use the event to raise sponsor money which will be used exclusively at Good Hope.

“We hope this is just the start of a long-term relationship which can only benefit both organisations.”

Online registration for the 42nd Royal Sutton Fun Run opens over the first weekend of February 2025 with the event due to be staged on Sunday, 1st June 2025. Places will be limited to 5500.
