Naeem Arif, Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce Vice President said: “The Fun Run has been an integral part of life in Royal Sutton Coldfield for over forty years.
“The Chamber recognises it has a social responsibility towards the community where its members operate.
“The Fun Run provides an ideal vehicle for Chamber members to join a Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce team and raise money for our chosen charity for 2023, Sutton Coldfield based UK Sepsis Trust.
“The Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be officially associated with the town’s largest and longest running annual community fundraising event.”
Fun Run Director, James Pike said: “This year marks an historic milestone for the Fun Run – the 40th event.
“Our partnership with the Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce provides us with the perfect instrument to directly engage with the business community across the royal town.
“Like so many organisations, the Fun Run is emerging from two, very challenging, years when the event was cancelled three times.
“Being able to directly communicate the Fun Run’s core values and goals with local businesses across the royal town, will help us drive participant numbers up. As a direct consequence, the amount of money raised and distributed to charities and voluntary groups – many of whom operate within the royal town – will inevitably increase.”
Online registration is now live via the new Fun Run web site www.royalsuttonfunrun.org with those wishing to participate being encouraged not to delay in registering, with places limited to 5500.
